“Drawing”) begins 12:01 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) on January 1, 2001.
Your entry must be received by Directory
of Great Deals by the deadline dates specified below. Winners can claim their
prizes until June 1, 2001, the
advertising submission deadline for the Fall 2001 issue of the print Directory
of Great Deals. If any prize is not claimed by June 1, 2001, it will NOT be awarded.

Eligibility: This Drawing is offered and open only in the United States. You must be
at least 18 years old to enter. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and
decisions of Directory of Great Deals, which are final and binding, in all matters
relating to the Early Bird Drawing for Free Business and Web Site Advertising in
the Print Directory of Great Deals. Subject to all applicable federal, state and
local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

print Directory of Great Deals listing and advertising submitted by May 14, 2001 will be
automatically entered in the drawing for a Free
Highlighted Directory Listings with 1, 2 and 3 statements and Free Directory
Listings with 1, 2 and 3 statements.

www.DirectoryOfGreatDeals.com as soon as possible following the drawing.
After the May 14, 2001
deadline, the file of eligible entries for the drawing for Free
Highlighted Directory Listings with 1, 2 and 3 statements and Free Directory
Listings with 1, 2 and 3 statements is closed and sealed. Included in
this file of eligible entries are the non-winning entries for the
drawing for a Free
Highlighted Full Page Ad, Free
Highlighted
Half Page Ad, Free
Highlighted Quarter Page Ad, Free
Highlighted One-Eight Page Ad entered by the April 16, 2001 deadline; these
earlier entries are also eligible for the drawing for Free
Highlighted Directory Listings with 1, 2 and 3 statements and Free Directory
Listings with 1, 2 and 3 statements. The winners are randomly selected
from all eligible
entries; random selection of winners is supervised by an impartial
observer. If,
for any reason whatsoever, an entry is not included in the closed and sealed file, that
entry will be void and not eligible for a prize.
The winners of the free
highlighted
print directory listings with 1, 2 and 3 statements and free
print directory listings with 1, 2 and 3 statements will be announced by May 21, 2001.
Information about the winning persons, companies, web
sites or businesses will be posted on www.DirectoryOfGreatDeals.com as soon as
possible following the drawing.
Prizes, Deadlines and Odds: Odds of winning depend on the
number of eligible entries. All taxes are solely the responsibility of winner. If the
prize is won by a minor it will be awarded in the name of or to the minor’s
parent/legal guardian. Prizes cannot be
transferred, assigned or substituted.
Winners can claim their prizes until June
1, 2001,
the advertising submission deadline for the Fall 2001 issue of the print
Directory of Great Deals. If any prize is not
claimed by June 1, 2001, it will NOT be awarded. Acceptance of prize
constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use each winner's
name, prize won, hometown, company, business or web site information for promotional
purposes without further compensation.

Entry materials or data that have been
tampered with or altered are void. Entrants subject to all entry deadlines
and notices posted at Directory of Great Deals site (DirectoryOfGreatDeals.com).
Entries become property of Directory of Great Deals and will not be returned
or acknowledged. Any prize notice that results from error will be void.
Directory of Great Deals will not
be responsible for lost, late, incomplete,
non-delivered, misdirected, illegible entries, email or mail, postage due mail
or entries; or for any
computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic, internet hardware
or software malfunctions, equipment or technical failures of any kind, garbled or jumbled transmissions, or
service provider/Internet /web site/ use net accessibility or availability,
traffic congestion or unauthorized human intervention, or the incorrect or
inaccurate capture of entry information, or the failure to capture any such
information. In case of dispute, entries will be declared made by the authorized
account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry.
“Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned
to an email address by an Internet Access Provider, online service provider or
other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is
responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the
submitted email address.

Directory of Great Deals, Affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and
all of their respective directors, officers, employees and agents will not be
responsible for any error, manual, electronic, or otherwise whether due to
neglect, omission, failure, or otherwise that results in an entry or entries not
appearing in the entries file held by the impartial observer. No entry will
be valid unless it is obtained through authorized and legitimate channels in
accordance with the rules and procedures for the Drawing and is not tampered
with in any way. Directory of Great Deals, Affiliates, advertising and
promotion agencies and all of their respective directors, officers, employees,
and agents will not be responsible for any entry obtained through any illegal or
fraudulent act, whether that act is committed by a drawing participant, an
unrelated third-party, or an employee or agent of the above entities, and any
such entry is void.

General Conditions: Should a prize be won by a minor, all
affidavits and
releases set forth in these Official Rules must be executed by the parents/legal
guardians of the minor, both on behalf of themselves and the minor and all terms
and conditions relative to any undertaking of the winner must be so undertaken
by the parents/legal guardians of the minor both on behalf of themselves and the
minor. Failure of the parents/legal guardians to comply with these requirements
will cause the prize to be forfeited.
Directory of Great Deals will attempt to notify winners by
email, certified mail or telephone for a period of 14 days following the random
selection of the winners for the Drawing. If a winner cannot be contacted,
his/her prize may be forfeited. Where
permitted by law, winners grant (and agree to confirm said grant in writing)
Directory of Great Deals and those acting pursuant to Directory of Great
Deals' direction or control the
right to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide in any media now known or
hereafter developed, including but not limited to the world wide web, at any
time or times, the winner's name, prize won, hometown, company, business and/or web site for advertising and promotional purposes without
additional compensation. Failure to make grant such rights
may result in disqualification and prize forfeiture. Furthermore, winners will be
required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of
Eligibility, a Liability Release, and where lawful a Publicity Release within 7
days of notification. If winner is under the age of majority in the state in which he/she resides, the prize will be awarded to the
winner’s parent or legal guardian and the winner’s parent or legal guardian
must also sign all of the necessary documents. If the documents are not returned
in a timely manner, or if prize or prize notification is returned as
non-deliverable, or if winner is found not to have complied with these
Official Rules, or is ineligible for any reason, the prize may be forfeited.
Winners may be required to provide a government issued proof of identification,
as determined by Directory of Great Deals, in its sole discretion, such as a valid driver’s
license, in order to receive a prize. By
accepting a prize, winners release and agree to hold harmless Directory of Great
Deals, Affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and all of
their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injury, loss
or damage of any kind to persons other than death or personal injury; and
any and all liability for any death or
personal injury; in each case to persons arising directly or
indirectly, from or in connection with acceptance, possession, use or misuse of
any prize, participation in this Drawing or any Drawing-related activity. Some
jurisdictions may not allow a person to restrict or exclude liability for death
or personal injury caused by such person's negligence; so, some of the above
restrictions or exclusions may not apply to you. Check your local laws for any
restrictions or limitations regarding these limitations or exclusions.

No responsibility is assumed by Directory of
Great Deals for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this
Drawing,
including but not limited to errors in advertising, in these Official Rules and
the selection or announcement of winners. Directory of Great Deals is not responsible for
contacting any participant when participant has changed contact information and
failed to notify Directory of Great Deals of such change. Any prize
notification returned as undeliverable results in forfeiture of that prize.

Conduct: Directory of Great Deals reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify
any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the
operation of this Drawing or the Directory of Great Deals site; to be in violation of the Terms of
Service of Directory of Great Deals site; to be acting in violation of these Official Rules;
to be hacking, or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or
with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person; or to have
provided any false or misleading information as part of the registration process
including, without limitation, any false names, addresses or email addresses.
ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY
WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS DRAWING MAY BE A VIOLATION
OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, DIRECTORY OF
GREAT DEALS RESERVES
THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT
PERMITTED BY LAW.
Limitations of Liability: Directory of
Great Deals is not responsible for any incorrect or
inaccurate information, whether caused by users of the Directory of Great Deals
site or by any of the
equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Drawing or by any
technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in
this Drawing. Directory of Great Deals assumes no responsibility for any error, omission,
interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission,
communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or
alteration of, entries. Directory of Great Deals is not responsible for any problems or technical
malfunction of any telephone, network, satellite, cable or lines, computer,
on-line-systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of
email or entry submissions on account of technical problems or traffic
congestion on the Internet or at any web site or combination thereof. Directory
of Great Deals is
not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's

Directory of Great Deals reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify
or suspend this Drawing and limit entries to those submitted prior to the action
taken, or proceed in such a manner as may be deemed fair and equitable by
Directory of Great Deals in its sole discretion.

DEALS, AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES AND
RELATED COMPANIES, THEIR ADVERTISING OR PROMOTION AGENCIES OR THEIR RESPECTIVE
